Jarle Rosseland was born in Bergen in 1952. His debut into the art world happened in 1970 at the Norwegian National Annual Autumn Exhibition when he was 18 years old. Since then he has become one of Norway's most prominent artists. He is most known for his style which consists of crisp lines, fluid movement, and interesting contours all of which are coupled with bizarre colors. He has stated that his inspiration and style are based in traditional Norwegian landscape and folk art. He has over 300 exhibitions all over the world, 32 of which are in national museums.</text>

Fritz Scholder was an Native American artist who grew up in Breckenridge, Minnesota. He was born on October 6th, 1937 and was one-quarter Luiseño. Growing up his teacher was Oscar Howe, who was a notable Yankton Dakota artist. He studied under many different artists growing up, and briefly studied at the Wisconsin State University in Superior. He moved with his family to Sacramento, California where he continued his study of art. His works sought to deconstruct the mythos surrounding the Native American Indian and were often post-modern in style, although, they sometimes ventured into the style of Pop Art. Fritz Scholder died on February 10, 2005. Posthumously, he was recognized by then Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger as a California Hall of Fame inductee in 2009.</text>

Karen Kunc was a part of the Concordia College class of 1988.

From the artist's statement:
"My work as an artist/printmaker addresses issues of the landscape and our natural surroundings as direct influences from my Nebraska heritage, my daily experiences and viewpoints in the landscape of the plains and from extensive travel, and as artistic interpretation and contemplation on larger issues of the eternal life struggle, of endurance and vulnerability, growth and destruction."

“My prints suggest extremes of weather and natural forces at work, a sense of the micro/macrocosm, set against landscape or space, both wild and cultivated, intimate and unknowable. I am interested in the span of time it takes to wear away a canyon, build a mountain, the erosion forces that continually wash onto the plains, forming the earth, and, ultimately, shaping our world. My hope is that these larger concepts are provoked by viewing my work with a poetic and intelligent sense of wonder."

“My symbolic images are derived from a rich mix of instilled influences, born at home, and greatly expanded and contextualized from seeing life lived the world over, my experiences and past work, and issues in contemporary art. I recognize a host of associations that flow out of my work and are research interests for me - from nature and science, spiritual and religious thought, art historical and modern icons, immigration narratives and native myths.”</text>
