Robert Powers grew up in Laguna Beach, California. Robert attended and earned a degree from Chapman University in Film with a minor in Art. He continued his education at the Art Students League in New York City. For a portion of his life he worked various positions in the film industry including as an assistant to Danny Devito and participating roles in Gilmore Girls and Curb Your Enthusiasm. He married actress Sydney Penny and the two have a son. Robert claims that his art is inspired by and shows "how what we see is always colored by circumstances and how our memories focus to perfect and smooth to less important details." He gathers moments that stand out and depict them as if they were seen through out mind's eye.</text>
