The art object is an oil painting depicting a snowy landscape with bare trees and town in the distance. In the background, is a pale green sky with indications of clouds that hints to the overcast likeness of winter, with clusters of bare trees that oppose against the starness of the sky. To the right of the compostion, in the background there is a small town composed of a collection of buildings in hues of orange, gold, and gray. To the left of the compostion, in pregression towards the forground, are additional buildings in hues of cream and yellow, on sloping drifts of snow. In the foreground, is a single large, bare tree.
