The art object is an oil painting depicting a parade of people walking through a city. In the backgound is a pale blue sky with rooftops pervading the sky at different angles in hues of white, orange, green, and gray. At a converging vanishing point, is a street that gradually opens up into the foreground. In the street and along the sidewalk are clusters of people, who are lead by a figure who is riding on a horse.
