Description

The art object is a watercolor painting depicting the centennial anniversary of Concordia College. In back ground, campus buildings such as, the Dovre Campanile, Old Main, Grose and Bishop Whipple are juxtaposed against a blue sky. In the forground, important figures who contributed to Concordia are depicted with symbols of the college, such as the stone slab that bears the mission statement and a banner reading, "Sent Forth," which references to the stained glass window created by David Hetland. The space containing the figures and symbols of Concordia are contained by a low, stone gateway with two graduates carrying in a birthday cake.
