Description
Artist Statement –
“This image of Martin Luther was created in the intaglio print medium and considers the figurative and formal elements of a portrait of Luther as Junker Jörg in 1521. This is my visual interpretation of Luther while he was in hiding at the Wartburg Castle. I worked a beard into this image and gave his renaissance hat subtle jester-like features to add to the idea of his disguise.” Diego Lasansky
The print is given in celebration of the 500th year anniversary of the Reformation.
