Heron
Dublin Core
Title
Subject
This carved-wood sculpture is of a heron. The bird is standing with its head facing the sky. It is slightly smaller than life size.
Description
The heron's beak is almost perpendicular with its black base. Its wings are folded at its sides, and its legs are straight. The carved ground it stands on is lower than the carved ground behind it; the latter which comes up to the feathering around the top of the heron's legs. The wood of which the bird is made of varies from a marigold yellow to a latte brown.
