This piece is a reduction woodcut in landscape orientation depicting part of a lake. The right side of the piece is darker than the right and looks to be in shadow. Rocks are visible through the water in this section and a large tree with exposed roots sits on the shore at the very right edge of the piece. Most of the colors on this side are dark greens and browns. The left side is made of green and the bottom left half of the piece is calm water reflecting the trees and rocks at the top of the image.
