This abstracted landscape oil painting features seven tall trees, whose thin, tall trunks dominate the composition. The mottled colors and textures on the trunks imply a tree species such as poplars or birch. Golden light emerges from the space behind the trees, warming the otherwise cool palette of greens, blues, grays, and crème hues, all of light values. The brush and knife work on the surface is impasto and active, implying motion in the image.
