This piece is a reduction woodcut in landscape orientation depicting a stream or lake and rocky shoreline. The stream or lake enters the image from the bottom right of the piece and takes up most of the right half of the image extending into the background to about the top ¼ of the image where it meets more land. All of the land at the top of the piece is crowded with vegetation from trees and bushes. Opposite the river or lake on the left of the image is a rocky shoreline made with earth and large rocks stuck in the soil/mud.
